Grammy award winning artist Dice Raw, a longtime member of The Legendary Roots Crew collaborated with Philadelphia based producer Khari Mateen and artist Charles P. Bailey to create a hot new track that is guaranteed to be setting the club scene on fire. The new song, titled “2012” is along the lines of “I Got a Feeling” (Tonight’s Going to be a Good Night) by the Black Eyed Peas, and the number one song on iTunes, “Fireflies” by Owl City.

Dice Raw had this to say about the track, “I love old school rap and hip hop, but I also love making any good music, and this song is great! 2012 is about having a good time and enjoying your life. If it’s gonna happen, it’s gonna happen, but in the meantime let’s all just have some fun.”

Dice Raw is best known as the long time collaborator and producer of The Roots, but the Philly hip hop rap artist and producer has also worked with Jill Scott, Common, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, TuPhace , Khari Mateen, and scores of other award winning artists.

Charles P. Bailey was inspired as a child by his father's love of music and began to sing and write lyrics in high school and then college at the University of Pennsylvania.  Over the years, Charles collaborated with many talented musicians and artists, from Eric Bazilian to Black Thought.  Not only has Charles become skilled as a lyricist and musician, but he grew to be a talented producer as well.  Within his music and lyrics, one will find a resounding rift, both intimate and worldly, hip-hop-centered, yet with the emotions of rhythm and blues, the conscientiousness of reggae,  the liveliness of rock, the imagination of jazz, the heartfelt passion of folk, the structural influences of classical, the etherealness of gospel, and the mass appeal and contagiousness of pop, sewn together with the sensibility of pragmatic lyrics.
